getting to the admin site

    Hi, I’m having difficulty accessing the admin area. I have logged in with my user name etc and have downloaded the software for wordpress , but I’m unable to get to the admin area and thus can’t do anything.
    If you could provide any assistance would be much appreciated,

    Your admin panel should be at yourdomainname.com/wp-admin
    Did you install wordPress already, because when you do, you are usually directed to the admin.
