Any WordPress theme can include all forms of a background simply using CSS.

To discover what CSS is output by your theme, use a web inspection tool such as Firebug: http://getfirebug.com/ , Chrome Inspect Element: https://developers.google.com/chrome-developer-tools/ or Internet Explorer 9+ F12 Dev. Tools: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd565627(v=vs.85).aspx#csstool
There are others.
When editing CSS, use a Child Theme

Custom CSS Plugin, or Theme provided custom CSS option.
Edits to parent themes are lost on theme update.

Do you have anything a bit easier? There must be a way. I’ve gone through the editor to import the background but it doesn’t look right
In two minutes, I do not.
Maybe an image can help:
It should have the two images on the side line up properly but with no repeat:

When you don’t have repeat, it looks like this:

Images do not help anyone fix CSS issues. Please study the links provided.
Can someone please help me. I know nothing of code yet I need to resize my background image that was placed by a previous designer and she “doesn’t have time” to fix. I need to change the width of my background and fix the social icons placement on my footer.
Please help.
Thanks! Leah
