Getting NP to Distribute Posts Automatically

I post to my WP.org site from outside WP (directly from the browser). This system works perfectly for posting (including categories and tags). However, I find that posts done this way are not being distributed by NP unless I first go to the post in the admin site and then enter the edit-post mode and then update the post from there. Thus it seems that NP will only distribute posts that are created or edited directly within WP.org. Is this a correct interpretation or is there something I can do with configuration or settings or process to have this work as desired? Any help is sincerely appreciated.
