Getting images to show

I am having trouleuploading pics to my posts so that they show when you type in my sites url. I can type new posts but I cant get images to show. I have tried clicking on the add images icons but the dont seem to be highlighted and only word if i right click and choose open in new window. even when I do that and select a jpeg file off my hard drive to upload I STILL cannot see the image on my homepage underneath the new post which is where I intend it to be.

Am i doing something wrong here?
