Getting "Fatal error: Call to undefined method"

    Tried installing a new theme (directly from WordPress theme search). Appeared to install successfully, but when I tried to visit a new page, I received the following error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Query::is_main_query() in /home/content/72/8662072/html/wp-content/themes/simple-catch/functions/simplecatch_functions.php on line 805

    The error message now appears when I enter my URL into the browser or attempt to access the admin login page. I haven’t used the site in awhile, so I’m not sure what version of WordPress I’m using. Any suggestions?
