My users are getting the same random errors. It shows up for the individual, not for everyone, but if you wait long enough an error will show up.

Yes, there should be an option to hide server-side errors.
You can try to enable Debug mode in WordPress and find a response of the request that caused that error (in browser’s Console). I’m sorry, but the error message “Bad Gateway” could be anything. I would need more details in order to determine if Wise Chat is causing this.
I don’t think wise chat is causing it, I just don’t want the messages to show up in the chat box.
Here is a screen-cap from one time it went a bit nuts on me.
Screen Cap of Errors in Chat
It usually doesn’t happen like that.

But error messages indicate issues which cause Wise Chat to work improperly. I’d suggest to start looking why your server is generating from time to time the following status codes:
502 Bad Gateway
HTTP 504 (Gateway Timeout)
Ask your admin. Maybe it’s a problem with a proxy or something.
We have exactly same problem and its getting really annoying now. If many of users using exactly same chat plugin having this problem with Wise chat app, then I have hard to believe that the error message is caused by something else.
We have decided to get rid of this chat app and try to find another one. Luckily it didnt cost so much.
