Hey Moe-Jizzles,
Which theme are you using? Some theme authors include code to detect if their themes aren’t officially registered or purchased. Elegant Themes and a few others are known to do this to protect their intellectual property.
Hey Xanda117, i really appreciate the response and feedback…
The theme i’m using is King Size WordPress, and its 3.4.. my website is called Retire248.com. I paid a dude to format the site for me and i have been updating and maintaining it since then- thats why i don’t know everything that needs to be done. Especially this situation. Do you know anything about the King Size WordPress theme or how to get that annoying error off??
I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendor: http://themeforest.net/user/Denoizzed
You can confirm that this is a theme issue by switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to see if this resolves the problem. Other troubleshooting step include:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of your current version of WordPress.
Hello again Moe,
My apologies for this delayed follow-up, pretty busy with projects lately. I’ve done some checking to reconfirm my suspicions and I’m definitely leaning towards the possibility that your theme isn’t properly registered with the author (Theme Forest). Did you handle selection and acquisition of the theme, or did the individual who built the site?
As esmi stated in her reply, your best bet is to contact Theme Forest with the issue. Your site’s uncomplicated so You may also want to consider just switching to a another theme and tweaking it to suit your needs. If you need suggestions on this let me know.

Hey Moe_Jizzles,
I forgot to mention that one of my colleagues recently encountered the same message with a theme from another commercial provider. She said it popped up after upgrading to WP 3.4 so it could also be WordPress related. Still, I would first check with Theme Forest.

Thanks Xanda117…
i figured it was a wordpress related issue. Ima check with the (Theme Forest) and see what i can get from that. Worse comes to worse i’ll switch the theme up…
Thanks for taking the time to write back…
And thanks to ESMI as well… really good information. appreciate that…
