    Hi,

We are receiving a high number of spam and bot orders on our WooCommerce checkout page and would like clarification on how your plugin handles bot protection.

I noticed that your plugin loads hCaptcha scripts, but I do not see any option in the plugin settings to enable or configure CAPTCHA for the checkout page. Could you please clarify:

    1. How does your plugin protect the checkout page from bots?
    2. Is hCaptcha automatically applied to checkout, or does it require additional setup? Where can these settings be managed in the admin area?

I am also using WooCommerce PayPal Payments by WooCommerce and enabled its built-in reCAPTCHA today due to the spam issue. I am concerned about running both reCAPTCHA and hCaptcha at the same time due to performance issues.

    Thank you.

    Hi @techiebraj

Thank you for contacting Payment Plugins.

I noticed that your plugin loads hCaptcha scripts, but I do not see any option in the plugin settings to enable or configure CAPTCHA for the checkout page.

It is actually the js.stripe.com SDK that is loading the hCaptcha scripts. Stripe utilizes a seamless form of captcha as part of their fraud detection. This does not require setup within the plugin because it’s handled behind the scenes by Stripe.

I am concerned about running both reCAPTCHA and hCaptcha at the same time due to performance issues

Have you observed anything specific to Stripe’s hCaptcha that’s causing performance issues?

    Kind Regards,

    Hi,

I still receive bulk bot orders, so what is the solution? Shouldn’t there be an integrated captcha protection on the checkout page provided by the plugin, allowing us to configure it ourselves instead of relying on third-party captcha plugins? Or do you think that the hCaptcha fraud protection offered by Stripe is sufficient?

    Thanks!

In my opinion it’s better to offer a solution that covers all payment options on your checkout page, not just one. For example, you’re using at least 2 payment plugin solutions on your site for PayPal and Stripe. With one reCAPTCHA plugin, you can cover all your bases.

There are several good options for adding reCAPTCHA on your site that covers all payment methods. This way you don’t need to be concerned about performance since that one reCAPTCHA plugin is being used for all checkout page payment options.

    Kind Regards
