Getting an internal server error 500 after restoring database

    I created a wordpress site under a directory called new. I then wanted to move to the root and when I changed the path, it couldn’t find the admin panel. I then did a restore of the database from the day before, hoping the path would be correct. i did get all my data bacl but I am now getting this internal server error problem. Should I reinstall wordpress and then restore my database into this. I am not sure what to do.
    (I am in the process of updating to wordpress 3.0.1)

    No since you changed your url in settings general and you have not moved the wordpress folders and files to new location that is from new to root I presume you getting that error.

    just move those folders and files and then try and log in.

    Can you tell us which host you’re on? Could this be a php5 problem?
