Getting an error message when cropping images

    I’m getting an error message whenever I try to crop an image, no matter what template I choose.
    All it says is ‘there was an error when cropping your image’. This isn’t helpful since obviously there is an error if it’s not working! It’s not the picture because, up until yesterday, I used the same image for cropping before. Can anyone help? I tried everything. I deactivated all the plugins, thinking that may be it. Nothing. I even shut down my computer thinking it was my system at fault. Still nothing.

    Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Okay, I tried it and it works with Twenty Fourteen theme, but when I try it with other themes, it’s not working. Does WordPress just hate themes not done by them? 🙂

    Sounds like you have been using some bad themes. Where did you download them from?

    I found them mostly by googling articles on free wordpress themes. I’m working with the Make theme now. It’s easy to work with and doesn’t have any of the problems the others do. Yay WordPress! 🙂
