Getting a warning during my backup

    Hello, I am getting this Warning when I am backing up:

    WARNING: Link “/folder/folder/public_html/.mailsubdom/php.ini” not following.

    I found this article you posted about this topic: https://backwpup.com/docs/warning-link-not-following/ but I am wondering if its ok for me to exclude the .mailsubdom folder? Do I need that for anything? Just want to make sure I am not excluding something necessary. Thanks in advance.

    Hi @designrox
    No worry since the warning tells you that BWU will not backup the directory to avoid an infinite loop, because the directory actually not a real one, it just a references to a directory located somewhere else.

    The folder .mailsubdom is not a standard WordPress directory, it was created by your hosting for email storage I guess. So it totally fine to exclude that folder( you anyway will not able to back up that folder) in order avoid the warning 🙂
