Hi, so this is a just a general question if it is possible to make the checkout page of woocommerce in to a one-time payment for membership in a small association? What I mean is that there would be no products, no account, just a simple checkout page with the desired information fields for the association and a payment method. Is this possible with woocommerce or do you need products etc?

  • Hello,

WooCommerce adds e-commerce functionality to your WordPress site so you have an online store. If you don’t have any products to sell and are looking for a solution to simply bill and collect payments, you may want to use a payment processor like PayPal (no need to use WooCommerce)

I found this article which may be helpful: https://www.gomarketbox.com/blog/5-ways-to-collect-payments-online-more-effectively

    Thanks for the answer.

The problem with that is that I want to use a payment method that only exists in Sweden and the only plugin that I can find for using that payment method in WordPress is with WooCommerce: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-swish-e-commerce/

So, back to my original question, is it possible to use WooCommerce in this way?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

there would be no products, no account, just a simple checkout page with the desired information fields for the association and a payment method.

WooCommerce requires products for your customers to checkout and pay for. If you create a membership product and enable the Woo Swish e-commerce plugin as a payment method, you can accept payments that way.

WooCommerce also offers an option to check out as a guest – your customers don’t have to create an account to make payment.
