Gallery, link in new tab

Hi,

I am using Visual Composer Addon, using element modal box (even though that might not be relevant).

In this modal box I have a gallery, the regular WP gallery, inserted trough the “visual” tab of the text field. I do however want to change so that the image links appear in new tabs, so that the visitor doesn’t leave the page.

Does anyone know how to do this? I tried going in the “text” tab but there it was only shortcode, no HTML.
