This has happened a few times now in the last approx 30 days.

An example: I added a gallery with ID 62 to a page. In WordPress admin in the page code it says ID 62 but when I view the page it displays a completely different gallery. It seems like a very strange bug and I’m not sure why this is happening. I clicked save without making any changes and the wrong gallery still displayed. Then I reinserted the same gallery code via the add gallery button and saved and only then the correct ID 62 gallery is displayed on the front-end of the website. I don’t know when or why this error occurs and it’s a problem because the wrong gallery showing up will cause confusion to the users. Any ideas?

I’m using NextGen Gallery Version 2.1.62.
I’m also displaying these galleries on custom post type pages created with the plugin by https://www.onthegosystems.com/plugins-services/

@mariposa77 – How are you initialing inserting the gallery with ID 62 … there may be something in that sequence if it is not the same as the method you are using when you re-insert the same gallery.

    Thanks!

I always use the Add Gallery button that sits above the editor. I’ve never manually added shortcode. But if the code in the back-end is saying this ID but on the website it displays another gallery… how is this even possible? It boggles my mind.
