We have also used the following which will not display the description. This was tried with caption template enabled.

</div>
I just tested your code snippet (by temporarily adding it to my default captions template) and it is working fine for me.
Did you create a new custom template for this, or did you modify the existing captions template?

We are still not getting anywhere with this unfortunately and not sure what is causing the problem.
Could you possible offer paid help to fix this or point me to a contact?

@eight-media – We could start with you submitting a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) just in case. We will need log in and FTP credentials for your WordPress installation as well, please include those with the Bug Report.
As to “paid” help with custom templates, no, that is not part of our current Support services but there are many service providers in the marketplace that may be able to help with that as well. We can discuss that option via the Bug Report, too.
