@fire34fighter – Do you have a custom template set under Gallery > Gallery Settings > NextGEN Basic Thumbnails display type; and, does that custom template exist?
Generally the error message you are seeing occurs after an update where a custom template is no longer available to be used.

I have same issue… but what is solution? I was assuming it was a result of Woo Commerce update, but someone else mentioned Yoast as the possible issue.
Also, it’s been awhile since I used NextGen and I’m looking at my text editor and see “what I did”… but can’t seem to find the id number inside the gallery area… For example, here is my code… where did I get that id from?

I did check the basic thumbnails settings and don’t see anything about custom template there.

@ctabor – This is not the same issue as the OP is using shortcodes and you appear to be using the Insert Gallery Window (“green button”) in the TinyMCE (visual tab) editor to insert your display(s).
