functions.php file destroyed my site

    Do you know which theme were you using? If so, you can download the theme again, un-compress it, and then upload it to your site and everything would work as it it should.

    Did you create a child theme? If so, were you editing the functions file in the child theme? If so, you can login to your webhost and with the file manager delete or re-name the function.php file from the child theme folder.

    Hope you haven’t done any other changes otherwise uploading the theme will over-write it. Alternatively, just upload one file from the theme and upload it again.
