Function to sending trackbacks?

    Hello,

    I’ve written a small script wich reads my “Shared items” from google reader every day and creates a post with links to this articles.

    Now I want to extend this script to send trackbacks. Since WordPress has the complete logic to do this, I don’t want to code it myself.

    Has someone an idea, wich is the best way to do this? I thought there should be a function like send_trackback($uri), but I can’t find a function like this.
