Front page latest posts shows wrong info

Greetings!

I’ve been researching a solution to my issue, and found this related and unresolved support post from a while back:

The issue described in that post still persists and I’m having trouble with it.

I love the animated elements that Agama makes available for the front page, but the posts it selects to show are simply the wrong ones. It picks events from Events Calendar by Modern Tribe as well as my blog posts. The problem is that all my events are in the past and shouldn’t be displayed any more.

If I choose to go with a static front page, all the cool animated widgets go away. I’d like to avoid that.
