Hi Samuel,
If your new icon is a black “IST” on a white background, then everything looks great on my side:
It would be useful to visit your site with a browser you normally don’t use, to make sure you are not the victim of a caching issue. You can also try the “incognito mode” of Chrome. I can see that you checked the right option in the version/refresh tab, yet it is possible that your browser persists in its old habits…
Best Regards,
Philippe
Dear Philippe,
Warm thanks for your response and this reassuring feedback. The front end favicon does not appear not only across browsers on my laptop (and on icognito mode), but also on other devices here at home. I guess it is one of those IP Cache issues – will try to request for a clearing of those “deep cache” to the network provider.
That should be the cause, right ?
Best,
Samuel
Hi Samuel,
It is strange to have so many devices stuck with your old icon…
Please visit this link: http://realfavicongenerator.net/favicon_checker?protocol=http&site=www.studyoftexts.com%2F . Do the previews match what you expect to see? Or do they show you the old icon?
Dear Philippe,
Yes, the preview looks as expected. So it must be the network !
Thanks,
Samuel
You’re welcome Samuel! Don’t hesitate to open this thread again if there is anything wrong.
Best Regards,
Philippe
