• I saw claim that it could print blogs that had 3,000 pages (or was it 3,000 posts?). My blog has about 100 posts which would create a pdf of less than 500 pages. It gets stuck at “Loading preview…”

Trying to print individual blog posts, I found the same problem with this post: http://blog.ncmaps.org/1904-map-of-anson-county/ which has embedded pdfs. Is there any way to get Print My Blog to load those embedded pdfs and not get stuck?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @tarheeltiger, sorry you’re having trouble. Thanks for providing the info though.
I tried printing your site, and in Firefox I got an error while Print My Blog was placing the content on the page from the browser saying the page was taking too long, but when I dismissed it, everything actually seemed to work fine, and I was actually able to make the PDF.
But with Google Chrome, everything worked until I click “Print to PDF” and Google Chrome started preparing the page for printing and then it got stuck on “Loading preview…” like you reported.
Normally I would suggest there’s some content on a particular post that’s making the browser struggle, but I can’t isolate a particular post that has the problem. I actually found I could print http://blog.ncmaps.org/1904-map-of-anson-county/ fine.
So I think it’s just that you must have some content that’s rather “heavy” on the browser and makes it have difficulty printing it all at once (at least Chrome does).

I’d suggest trying with Firefox and see if it works for you too. If you really need to stick to using Chrome, I’d suggest you try doing smaller printouts (eg first print all posts from 2020, then all from 2019, etc). That will probably take it easier on the browser.

Does that make sense @tarheeltiger ?
