To clarify: ReelsWP follows the Instagram/TikTok-style Reels format, which is video-first by design — each reel needs a video, with the thumbnail acting as a preview image. So image-only reels aren’t allowed.

ReelsWP is a video-specific plugin. It supports video reels, and you can set an image as a thumbnail for each reel.
You can create multiple reels and group 1 to X number of reels together into a single widget, which you can display using a shortcode. The free version supports unlimited reels within each widget.
Calling the free version “useless” doesn’t explain the actual limitation or issue you’re facing. Our developers have worked day and night for months and years to build a product that adds value to users.
