Book covers are fully supported in the free version of Books Gallery — they are displayed prominently in both grid and list layouts as shown in our screenshots. If you experienced a specific issue with cover images not displaying, our support team is always available at wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-books-gallery/
Regarding the donate link — this is a standard optional feature on WordPress.org listings used by thousands of plugin developers. It has no impact whatsoever on plugin functionality and is completely separate from our Pro plans.
