free sendgrid account

Hi,

I am a web developer. I have used mailpoet in several of my sites.
I have always set it up to use smtp through the free sendgrid account.
I tried to set up one again this week and it seems that the free sendgrid account does no longer exist. You can get one free for a month but you pay 9.95 a month after that. My customers all have small mailing lists with no more than 300 emails a month.
Do you know if there is still a way to get the free account? If not, can you recommend an alternative?
