Forums not found, topics not found

    Hello,

    this is my second day working with WordPress so bare with me.

    1- I installed WordPress and BuddyPress and as an admin I can create forums, topics and posts and see them. However, when I look for them on the website I can only see the posts and their categories and not the forums and the topics (I get topic not found). How come? I can see them in the dashboard??

    2- I care only about users being able to post under 4 different categories. Do I even need to have a forum and a topic?

    It depends. You can have comments on your posts if you wish without using Buddypress. However, Buddypress is great for setting up your own social network of sorts where your users can communicate amongst themselves.

    I’ve looked around on your site and could not find that you uploaded the files. You may want to login and make sure you can see the files on the server. Where did you upload them? What is the folder name they are in?

    Well as admin, from the dashboard if I click on All Forums, I see one with one topic in it. Doesn’t that mean that there’s a forum?

    As for your recommendation, I just want my members to be able to post jokes and have a few categories to choose from. So would their posts be separate topics each time?

    I think what’s happening I am confusing the forums from BBpress and the regular forums. Which one should I work on?

    the problem is the permalinks I just checked it is giving me the wrong address/ It always add my new pages under subfolders. Wonder how I can change the structure

    sorry for the confusion it was related to the Appearance, I dk what i did there but now I get the New Topic working (was there before but not working)

    However that still doesn’t solve the issue since I can create posts and group them according to groups but still I canot see the forum or the topics (they’re unrelated)
