Forum links redirect

  • Greetings to everyone!

I am facing an issue. My current website has bbPress Forums and BuddyPress enabled. However, for some reason, my website is taking a long time to load. I will like to move the forums to a subdomain.

As a matter of fact, I want to completely eliminate/delete all existing forums and BuddyPress pages from my website and create a new forum website on my subdomain.

Will doing this lead to increase in ‘404 Not Found’ error because these pages in question have all been indexed by Google? If 404 error increases, by deleting the pages, will redirecting existing links to the new forum limit these 404 errors. Is so, how do I selectively redirect these links?

People, I have very limited technical knowledge. Any help from you will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.
