    I wonder if the formulas in a table are executed when the web page is opened? This is because I built a table with the control of the date that was supposed to produce the change of state on 1/1/2025. This didn’t happen thi morning automatically and I had to edit the table and save it to get the result. Which doesn’t make sense. What did I do wrong?

    Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

    Yes, formulas are evaluated when a table is shown on the page — however TablePress has a built-in caching mechanism that (for logged-out users) will only re-create the table’s HTML code every 24 hours. Thus, you might simply have checked while the previous day’s formula result was still cached. Re-saving the table will then immediately clear the cache.

    To turn off this caching for a table, you can added the configuration parameter cache_table_output=false to the Shortcode or the block in the block editor that you are using to embed the table into the page.
