Forms not working
-
Contact details are not being sent to Mailchimp and redirect is not successful.
I have tried using other forms that have previously worked, and this has not been successful either.
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Yes, my form is not working either. Im doing a test and no message display to check email no email sent to my inbox
Hey Quiet Connections click this link and try turning off AJAX submission. It workrd for me.
https://yikesplugins.com/support/knowledge-base/i-hit-submit-on-my-form-but-nothing-happens/Thanks @morocx, that seems to have done the trick.
There are some JS errors happening on your page that I believe are breaking the AJAX-based form submission. If you’d like, you could set up a page with an AJAX form and I can try to test it out.
Hi @morocx,
I’m not sure what’s going on with AJAX on your site but if you’d like me to take a look you can set up an AJAX form on a page and send the URL over. (Also – thanks for helping!)
If using non-AJAX is fine then I’ll close this ticket and wish you both good luck!
Let me know.
Cheers,
Kevin.Hi @yikesitskevin
Thanks! I’ve created a page with the ajax form for you to test here:
http://quietconnections.co.uk/test/I had a problem with the easy mailchimp form plugin which would revert to the third (non ajax) form rather than the ajax ones I was selecting. I had to use the shortcode to embed it instead.
Thanks in advance.
The non-AJAX form on your test page appears to be working fine. Did you try that? (You can use testing@example.com as a fake email to test).
Yes the non-ajax one works fine. The ajax one doesn’t. Is there likely to be a problem using the non-ajax one?
I’m sorry – I meant to say the AJAX one (the first form) is working fine (on the test page). It’s not working for you? What do you see?
Oh that makes sense. The details aren’t added to the mailing list.
When I was using the AJAX form on the page I initially asked about (I haven’t tried on this one) it wasn’t showing the download or even moving from the page.
Let me know if I am understanding you correctly.
The original form you created was AJAX. When a user subscribed, the details were added to the MailChimp.com list but the user was not redirected to the Google Drive document.
Then you turned off AJAX, so now it’s a non-AJAX form, and the details were added to the MailChimp.com list and the user was redirected to the Google Drive document.
Is that correct?
When I subscribed just now (real email) via the AJAX form, I was added to your list but I was not redirected (although I think this is because redirects aren’t setup for the test form). When I subscribed again (same email) to the non-AJAX form, I was redirected to the Google Drive document.
So the issue is that the AJAX forms aren’t redirecting properly after a successful submission. Is that correct?
Sorry about the confusion!
Thanks,
Kevin. The original form on was AJAX. When a user subscribed, the details were NOT added to the MailChimp.com list AND the user was not redirected to the Google Drive document.
The screen ‘blinked’ and nothing else happened. Then you turned off AJAX, so now it’s a non-AJAX form, and the details were added to the MailChimp.com list and the user was redirected to the Google Drive document.
I’ve turned it back to ajax so you can see what I mean here: http://quietconnections.co.uk/4-steps/
Thanks!
Agh I understand now. After checking out that page, there is a fatal JavaScript error that is breaking our plugin’s scripts.
I investigated the error a bit and it’s related to the page not having a header. Do you have the option to turn the header on for this page?
Let me know,
Kevin.Oh I see, I’ll have to have a look to see if that can be done when I have some time at the weekend now. Thanks.
