FormMaker Changed?

I have a form within FormMaker which has worked for many years but seems to have started producing two issues.
Firstly text fields are now inserted into the database with a single quote at the start and end.
Secondly the date selected is not being entered into the database at all.
I am using the SQL mapping feature which produces –
INSERT INTOwp_news(heading,news,link,picture,enddate) VALUES (“{3}”, “{4}”, “{5}”, “{6}”, “{2}”)
But that is also unchanged for some time.I don’t believe the underlying database table has changed as there are other actions which write news stories into this from other input and continue to work.
Has something changed and how might I fix it?
