The previous thread was closed because the OP found a workaround. I had the same issue without the pluin the OP said caused his issue. I removed it from the database because I have access and know how. But there is an ongoing issue.

Running 7.0.4 and all plugins up to date.

    Hello @pbyerly

I’m sorry to hear you are having issues with Forminator. I see you mentioned another topic, but can you tell us more about what’s exactly what are you experiencing in your site? Are you trying to deactivate Forminator and somehow that’s not possible? Please provide us more information about your issue.

    Kind regards,
    Jair.

Sorry, meant to link. Same issue detailed in https://wordpress.org/support/topic/forminator-is-not-deactivating/, seeing the same thing as the screenshot there.

I don’t have the Social Media and share icons plugin that was the issue for the other issue. So some other plugin is also resulting in the same issue.

    Hello @pbyerly ,

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for the update.

I couldn’t replicate the issue on my lab site. Both the “Skip & Deactivate” and the “Submit & Deactivate” buttons worked without any issues. I am using Forminator version 1.57.1 on my lab site.

As mentioned in the other thread, it seems to be a conflict with other plugins/themes.

Please run a full conflict test. Before starting, create a recent backup of your site so you can restore it if needed. Next, deactivate all plugins and MU-plugins except for the Forminator plugin, switch to a default theme such as Twenty Twenty-Five, clear all caches, and check if the issue persists.

If the issue is gone, a conflict is present. Reactivate the remaining plugins and theme one by one, testing after each activation until the issue reappears and the conflicting component is identified.
If the issue remains, please let us know the results.

If you are looking for a quick workaround to deactivate the plugin, you could go to the “/wp-content/plugins” folder via SFTP/File Manager and then rename the Forminator plugin folder from “forminator” to “forminator-off”.

However, if you want to check what’s causing the conflict, please let me know if you see any console errors when you try to reproduce the issue.
You can check this doc for more info on how to check the console error: https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/debug/debug-javascript/#open-the-developer-tools
