    Hi @wasanajones

Over the weekend we saw an extremely high amount of attacks. We spent a lot of time and resources ramping up our servers and API to make sure we can compensate for the surge. During that time there were some latency issues with the API server. However, as of this morning things should now be back to normal.

The match captcha will only show as a backup if our API server can’t be reached or is taking to long to respond. Your security is our most important priority, which is why we make sure to have that backup.

In the 14 months we’ve been working on BruteProtect we have had a very small amount of downtime, which means the math captcha is a really rare sighting. Now that everything is back to normal, you should be able to login without issue.

Please let me know if you have any other concerns.

    thanks

    Jesse

    thank you for prompt reply

I thought I was going a little nutty

your plugin has literally saved a couple of my sites from total ruin

on one, bruteprotect blocked 52,000 malicious attempts – that before installing was crashing the server several times a day… after installation… nothing but happiness
