• Hi
I have site set up and running fine. I am using domains to configure the languages i.e.

    site.com – English
    site.ch – German(Swiss/German)

When I type site.ch I am always brought to the English version i.e. the landing page is always in English. If I click on the flag for the language it takes me to the correct language. Is there no way setting it so that when you land on the site.ch page that it automatically goes to the language (or is the system simply detecting my region and default language as english).
    Thanks

    Hi!

EDIT: when using one domain per language, Polylang does not redirect the homepage (unlike other options where you can choose to redirect to the preferred browser language). So I don’t know what cause the redirection from site.ch to site.com.

I have the same problem. When I type the url: http://www.juventudecuatoriana.org or juventudecuatoriana.org it directs me to the spanish site http://www.juventudecuatoriana.org/es regardless whether the browser is defaulted to english and my zone is english. I have also english as the default language in the polylang settings. Please help as it is affecting traffic to our site.

This is not the same problem, as you are not using a domain per language. You are redirected to spanish because this is your latest browsed language and you checked the option: “When the front page is visited, set the language according to the browser preference”

In this case, how can I change where people is being redirected to? juventudecuatoriana.org/es is not the spanish version homepage, and I do not see anywhere to change where people should be redirected to.
