The Simple Ebook Viewer plugin is amazing! Thank you so much to Francesco for making it available.

I wonder whether there’s anything I can add to the shortcode to force the reader to start on page 10 so that the first thing they see is the start of Chapter 1, rather than making them skip through the cover and the table of contents and the preamble. I’m keen for readers to be able to dive in straightaway!

Hi, thank you for your kind words. There isn’t an option to do that at the moment. In the next version of the plugin I could add an option for EPUB documents to skip directly at the start of the text, but only if that location is explicitly mentioned in the landmarks navigation. E.g. for an EPUB3, the epub:type=”bodymatter” in https://kb.daisy.org/publishing/docs/navigation/landmarks.html, or, for an EPUB2, the type=”text” reference element in the guide https://idpf.org/epub/20/spec/OPF_2.0.1_draft.htm#Section2.6.

The epub in your webpage seems to be an epub2, it has the <guide> element in the content.opf file but without the <reference> element with type=”text”.
