    I am copying a working site from a production server to my local server (localhost). I have used this program several times but generally from the local server to the productions server and the program works flawlessly.

    I have looked and looked and the only solution I can see in this forum is to “forcibly set the root permissions” which I have no idea how to do on a local server. (iMac). It also said something about inheriting permissions from the site that I was copying so I am sure it has something to do with that but again, i am not sure how to prevent it from inheriting permissions.

    Can someone offer a specific method to fix this. It is driving me nuts.

  • Hey htown,

    Here is a helpful section on the FAQs page:
    -> Browse to: http://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
    -> Find section: “3. Troubleshoot=> Common issues with WAMP, XAMPP, MAMP and CPanel”

    Most likely you will need to jump on the forum of the package your using on your local host for Mac that is usually MAMP…

    Hope that helps!
