Just a heads up to see if this is a problem generated by the plugin. I have found this to be recurring issue with a number of sites that have the plugin installed. The footer.php file in all of my Child themes (with this plugin installed) is missing the closing </body> and </html> lines! Some of the sites have the same but not all of the same plugins. So where I thought the problem was caused by other plugins, now I am starting to think that it might be this one.
Happy to provide you with more information if that would be helpful. I have to say that overall I am really pleased with this plugin to date.
    Thanks

  • Hi Context Canada,

There’s nothing in Meta Slider that I think would do that. Are you sure the tags aren’t simply missing from your footer.php file in your theme? Do the tags reappear if you disable Meta Slider?

    Regards,
    Tom

I can’t try the suggestion for turning on/off at the moment as I have updated the footers already.
I don’t see any issue with the footer file that I uploaded for the Child themes, but I cannot be sure that it wasn’t that in the first place.
I will see if this happens again the next time I build a dev site with the slider and let you know.
I appreciate your taking the time to respond and thank you again for helping me find and fix the original problem when the slider stopped working.
