    Right now I am having major issues with my hosting company, InMotion Hosting, so the page may not load. This gallery has some three thousand images but I wanted to use the plugin to flip the images with information, something FooGallery cannot do. Is there any way that Flip Box can do this?

    Hello,

    Yes, this is possible with our Flip Box plugin.

    You can display the image on the front side and add the related information on the back side. When a visitor hovers over or flips the box, the information will be displayed.

    So, you can use the Flip Box plugin to create the type of image gallery you described, which is different from a standard gallery plugin like FooGallery.

    Thank you. A couple of questions.

    Using both Chrome and Firefox I’ve been getting the “page unresponsive..” popup as many as twenty times before the gallery loads. My inept hosting company blames FooGallery who blames my host. Will this be any different using your plugin?

    Every photo has the name in capital letters as the file name but they do not sort alphabetically properly. FooGallery has not responded to this for three years now other than “we’re working on it”. Every photo shows the name as well but this is not visible when editing the gallery despite selecting to show the full image. This makes it very difficult to find duplicates. There is also no search feature to be able to find specific photos.

    Of course all three thousand plus photos are all in the media library so I need to be able to access them if I switch to using your plugin.

    Thank you for explaining everything in detail.

    Regarding the “Page Unresponsive” issue, if you try to display all 3,000+ images on a single page at once, it could still cause performance issues regardless of which gallery plugin you use. Loading such a large number of images and elements at the same time can put a significant load on the browser.

    A better approach would be to split the gallery using pagination or a Load More-style approach, so that visitors don’t have to load all 3,000+ images at once. This should provide a much better browsing experience and help reduce the chance of the browser becoming unresponsive.

    Regarding your existing images, there isn’t a one-click migration option to directly convert your FooGallery gallery into Flip Box. However, since all of your images are already uploaded to your WordPress Media Library, you can use those existing images with our Flip Box plugin and create the Flip Box items without uploading the images again.

    You can then add the photo name and other information to the back side of each Flip Box.

    So, the basic workflow would be:

    1. Select an existing image from your WordPress Media Library.
    2. Add the image to a Flip Box.
    3. Add the photo name/information to the back side.
    4. Organize the Flip Boxes into your gallery.
    5. Use pagination or another loading approach instead of displaying all 3,000+ items at once.

    For a gallery of this size, I would definitely recommend avoiding loading all 3,000+ Flip Boxes on a single page.
