    Hi

Having installed the plugin, I find that the shortcode element is not working within my theme, i.e. the icons do not appear on pages or posts when I use your shortcodes. They do, however, appear when I use the html tags.

I have tried using the TinyMCE dropdown box and entering shortcodes manually. Neither results in the icons appearing.

I would prefer to use shortcodes to avoid massive work when the Font Awesome version changes, as mentioned in your plugin description.

    Any ideas?

I’m guessing there is likely a conflict with you theme, which is perhaps also including Font Awesome. Two ideas:

    1. Did you try checking the box in the BFA admin settings to remove existing Font Awesome shortcodes and styles?

    2. Can you send me the theme you’re using so I can take a look and possibly add a patch the plugin if needed?

    Thanks!

    Hi Mickey

Thanks for replying so quickly. To answer your queries:

    1. I hadn’t checked the BFA box but I have now. Regretfully, it has made no difference.

    2. The Theme is called ‘Construct’ from http://www.mysitemyway.com. When you say ‘send you the theme’, what do you mean? What do I send & where to?

    Cheers.

Hmmm, since it’s a premium theme, the only way to test without purchasing it would be for you to send me a .zip copy of the theme (which you can send to mickey@mickeykaycreative.com), or to give me access to your site to poke around, however I’d prefer the former.

I’m marking this as resolved since I never heard back. Feel free to re-open if need be.
