Font selection & Editing

I’ve been dabbling with WordPress for a few weeks now. I’ve found it a little frustrating (many times) that I’ve not been able to type directly into the “Visual” tabbed page-making window, and manually selecting the kind of font I want to use….as well as size and characteristic (i.e. bold, italic, etc.). While the characteristics can be selected, that’s it. A person can’t change (or select) which font they’d like some text to be in. Trying to type the text in MS Office Word and then copying/pasting – this doesn’t seem to work either. Can anyone tell me, whether there is a way to select font type (from within the “Visual” tabbed editing window)? Does anyone know, if this could be on the suggestion list for a future version? If not – how could I put the suggestion forward?
