• Hi,
    this is a pre purchase question.
    We publish an eMagazine and printed both are paid subscriptions for one or two years (new editions every two months).
    Our eMag uses emag studio which creates a folder with index.html as the starting point to view the eMag. I currently protect this using sessions which works well.
    Now we are wanting to utilise wordpress with a2member to handle things.
    Initially bought DAP which required manually protecting every single file (hundreds) within the eMag folder for each issue. This was not viable.
    I could protect a page or post with the link to the index file for the emag but a user could paste the link to the emag in another browser and see it without being logged in.
    Anyway DAP graciously refunded.
    Can I protect each of our eMags’ folders in a2member? If not;
    Can I pass a current session id from a logged in member to another folder outside WordPress?
    Just about to dive into a2member and thought it best to check on this first.
    Thank you,
    Dave

    Apologies – I meant s2member 🙂

    Can I protect each of our eMags’ folders in s2member?

    Yes, so long as you put those folders in s2Member’s own protected folder or folders. See the page headed Download Options for all the information.

    Hi KTS915,
    ok thanks for the quick advice – I’ll install the free version of s2member and do some testing before we go all the way with a2member pro.
    Have a good day.
    Dave
