    I downloaded a Flash slideshow from Activeden.net to use on a new site I’m making. It works fine on a normal site, but when I try to put it into a static page on my WordPress site (http://www.atozenglish.jp/wordpress/), nothing shows up at all.

    I put all the flash files in /wordpress/wp-content/themes/default, with the same structure as I received them in. This is the code I cut and pasted from the HTML file I was supplied with:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script>
    <div align="center">
    	<div id="flashcontent">
    		<script type="text/javascript">
    			var so = new SWFObject("banner.swf", "mymovie", "590", "300", "8");
    			so.addParam("menu", "false");
    			so.addVariable("dataPath", "banner_asset/data.xml");
    			so.write("flashcontent");
    		</script>

    	</div>
    </div>

    <div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4" title="5promises" src="http://www.atozenglish.jp/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/5promises.gif" alt="5promises" width="581" height="613" /></div>

    I’m quite new to WordPress and Flash, and would really appreciate any help!

    The problem was caused by WordPress adding <p> tags into the code. I solved this problem using the Disable wpautop Plugin.
