• Hello, We’ve learned that our theme developer has no plans to update for 5.5. It’s very important that I get it fixed because I have other clients who use it. (The last update was in 2018.)

    Questions are…

If we fix all the warnings will it then be safe for future updates (after the helper plugin no longer works?) …or is the helper plugin fixing more than just wnat it displays in the warning?

We don’t use the theme’s slider feature (the first 3 warnings) Can these files simply be remmoved?

Could someone please assist me in addressing the last 3 warnings?

Since that is a commercial theme, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best: https://bringthepixel.ticksy.com/

Forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.

    Note:

because the problem is that the theme developer has no intention of fixing it.

Despite being a commercial theme, unminified JS sources are available:

However, @webworks , its strongly advised to switch to supported theme, instead of using an unsupported, outdated abandonware with issues. Later you can get more compatability and maybe even security problems, seriously, you should consider switching to another one.

We surely do intend to switch to a supported one – however It’s going to take *some time* to complete. Since I have no idea when the helper plugin will become obsolete, I’d rather find a theme developer to update it in the meantime. That’s just covering all bases.

Theme updates in our case are/were very rare. The last necessary update was 2 years ago and it is still for sale (3 days from now anyway). We’ve had no issues with php 74 and up to wordpress 5.5. Rest assured I stay on top of it. Typically It’s the plugins that demand most of my attention with regard to conflicts and security.

Hey @webworks I have the same problem with the same (3clicks) theme. I had to downgrade to WP 4.7x which I don’t like doing.

Haven’t tried upgrading to WP 5.5 incase it breaks again. It’s not a viable option for me to change theme for foreseeable future.

Do you know how to fix the G1 slider framework etc? I’m no coder so wondered if there was any fix I could try to cut and paste?

    Thanks

Has anyone had any luck with updating this code? I see that the theme has been pulled from Themeforest. I am in the process of researching a new supported theme, but it will take time.

    Thank you
