I created a VERY simple widget plugin. (text-file-widget), using a standard template online, which is apparently not php v7 compatible. The actual code for my plugin is pretty trivial.
Can SOMEONE point me in the direction of a WordPress-4.3-compatible widget plugin template, so I can patch in my tiny bits of code and create a compatible version asap?

Thank you all very much for the fix regarding the widget change in WordPress 4.3. I have applied the fix to version 2.2.24 of the slideshow, which will be released this week.
I’ve now updated my plugin based on Remi Corson’s original tutorial, and tested it on a fresh WP4.3 Beta 4 installation. It’s fine. No warnings.
How come it doesn’t say “Plugin Author” next to my name?
Check it out – Text-file-widget , my username and e-mail address.. Puzzled..

@q292u It doesn’t say “Plugin Author” next to your name because this support forum for the slideshow plugin, of which I’m the author. If you post on the support forum for your plugin, it will say “Plugin Author” next to your name.
