Fix for 'Permission denied' error

    I’ve seen a few websites over the past week where an error similar to the following appears (therefore am documenting the fix for others):
    Permission denied in … wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/wp-contact-form-7.php on line 70
    I’m not sure of the cause however the fix is as follows:

    1. Using FTP delete the Contact Form 7 Plugin (from /wp-content/plugins)
    2. Download the newest version of the Contact Form 7 Plugin from wordpress.org and unzip on your computer
    3. Using FTP upload the unzipped Contact Form 7 Plugin to /wp-content/plugins

    The forms you created prior to the delete will remain intact 🙂

    It is always possible that Contact Form 7 didn’t install or update correctly on your site. It’s a general problem with WordPress updates due to the unreliability of internet connections.

    Just delete the plugin folder at wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/ and install the plugin again using the normal WP plugin installation process.
