    I would like my most recent post to be featured above the fold. It should span the width of the #main content.

    Here is an example of what I would like:

    I haven’t been able to find any tutorials or answers to this question. If anybody can assist or point me in the right direction, that would be awesome.

    This is my current index code.

    get_header(); ?>

    	<div id="primary" class="content-area">
    		<div id="content" class="site-content" role="main">
    		<?php if ( have_posts() ) : ?>

    			<?php /* The loop */ ?>
    			<?php while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>

    				<?php get_template_part( 'content', get_post_format() ); ?>
    			<?php endwhile; ?>

    			<?php wp_page_navi();?>

    		<?php else : ?>
    			<?php get_template_part( 'content', 'none' ); ?>
    		<?php endif; ?>

    		</div><!-- #content -->
    	</div><!-- #primary -->

    <?php get_sidebar(); ?>
