• I try to configure the firewall after the latest Wordfence update, but I get stuck and it keeps outputting this message (and it won’t snap out of it):

“The changes have not yet taken effect. If you are using LiteSpeed as your web server or CGI/FastCGI interface… ” etc

This only seems to happen to Bluehost (shared hosting), other sites I configured without problems.

    Any ideas?

    Check your php config.

I have been able to resolve this on Bluehost by resetting the php version. I’m using PHP 5.6 (Single php.ini), you will need to go in and make any modifications to the new php.ini file.

I am having the same problem with a few websites 🙁

I tried setting the PHP version from 5.3 to 5.6 – but no change..

I am not sure how to reset the php version but I dit try: “use defaults”
    Also no result 🙁

    Hi,

@callunairis: For CGI/FastCGI, PHP 5.3 should be the minimum, though we recommend 5.5 or 5.6. Can you go to the new Diagnostics page on the Wordfence menu, and click the “Send Report by Email” button, and send it to wftest [at] wordfence.com? If you’ve updated to version 6.1.4, there will also be a field to enter your forum username, so I can match it to your post here when you send the report.

@anna: If the document above doesn’t help, can you make a new post using the form at the bottom of the Wordfence forum here? Though it’s similar, the solution might be different for your site.

@balex66: Thanks also for the response!
