It would be useful to have a filter hook to be called when the plugin adds to the download count. I am using Download Manager to build a download portal that is used internally by my company’s employees, but also externally by partners. We would like to be able to only count downloads from external people.

Is there any way to achieve this today? If not, could a filter hook be access to determine whether or not a download should really be counted?

You also can do that using this action hook “wpdm_onstart_download” , Docs: http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/action-reference/wpdm_onstart_download/

I see. But this is an action hook and not a filter. What I wanted to do was to make it not count a download if the person downloading is an internal employee. That being said, I guess I could reduce the download count after it gets incremented by using this hook.
