Hi @mcutting
Could you please tell me more about this negative impact you experience? I was able to register and log in to your site without any problems. (Or have you disabled Fast Velocity Minify?)
Hi Ramona,
Thanks for the prompt response – I’ve just seen you register. Register and login on the first attempt is not affected – if you logout, then try to log back in, you’ll see what I mean.
In my testing, if I login with my linkedin account, everything works as I expected. If I then logout, then try to log back in without closing the browser etc, then the session appears to be cached. If I try to login, the OAUTH completes, but the redirect doesn’t work, and I cannot access the wordpress dashboard.

I should add that emptying the Litespeed cache resolves the issue. Also clearing the FVM cache has the same effect. I am going to disable FVM to see if this is indeed the culprit, but based on my testing, suspect it is.
Hmm – interesting. Disabling FVM then clearing the cache does not resolve the problem, so it looks as though it’s actually not FVM. However, clearing Litespeed Cache does resolve it – despite those particular URL’s being cache exempt !
And… it looks like closing the browser session then reopening also resolves the problem, so it looks as though this is a local cache issue.
Sorry about that – I can certainly live with users having to close and re-open browser sessions !
Thanks
Hi Mark ( @mcutting )
I actually find it possible that the problem is happening because of the cache plugin that it sets some headers (maybe the cache headers) wrongly. I’ve seen wrongly set cache headers preventing the correct login/logout behavior (making the browser thing that there’s no reason to ask down the new [logged in/logged out] version of the page).
I suspect this will be your problem, so it might worth a shot getting in touch with the cache plugin’s developers to take a look at this.
Thanks Ramona,
That makes sense to me. I’ll raise it with Litespeed.

Just coming back here to close this thread, as it was indeed Litespeed. For those looking for the fix, you can find that here https://wordpress.org/support/topic/listed-exceptions-still-seem-to-be-cached/
