files attached get 600 permission

  • hi.
    Postie is a great plugin. I use it for a website that involves inputs from un-registered users I work with, and posting by mail is just what I need.
    My only problem is that the files attached get 600 permission so they cannot be downloaded of seen. I need to change permissions manually which is disturbing.
    I guess that line 1953 at postie-functions.php should do that:

    // Set correct file permissions
        $stat = stat(dirname($new_file));
        $perms = $stat['mode'] & 0000666;
        @ chmod($new_file, $perms);

    I haven’t heard of this issue before. Postie uses the standard WordPress functions for adding media to a post.

    Does the standard media uploader work correctly?

    yes, it works correctly and gets the right permissions.
