File upload success icon issue

Hi,

I have a big problem with the upload image fiedl. The “validate” option is selected in the admin area, however no validation on this field seems to occur when filling out or submitting the form. Only if the ‘required’ box is cheched the success icon appears.

My concern with this is that users might not recognize that they have successfully attached a file to the form. Should validation work with the upload field? Has anyone else experienced this issue?
