• Hello,

I developed a site on localhost and it was working fine. I tried to transfer it to my client using Filezilla. I highlighted all the files and dragged them to an empty folder of my client’s. It seemed to go ok, but when it was finished, I noticed that the wp-includes folder had not transferred. I dragged it over to try again. It didn’t work. Worse, it disappeared off my list of folders and files. Using Finder on my Mac, it was also gone from there. Unbelievable! Now I can’t access the site at all. I have backup in WP but I can’t get to it. Any suggestions, please. Thanks.

Get a fresh copy of WordPress from wordpress.org, extract it, and upload wp-includes and its subdirectories into the root of the site on the server.

I was able to fix the problem. It seems that during transfer, Filezilla somehow turned a main WP file into a sub-file. When I moved it to its correct position in the tree, everything worked. Thanks.
